Hi I'm Joanna, and I dance for the Dixie Dance Team in KY. I recieved the "awesome dancer" button for being the "all around" dancer for my team . I recieved it at my last competition from my coach after she heard about the Button Project. I'm captain of the hip hop team, and I want to dance at Louisville next year! I was really hoping that my coach would give me an "awesome dancer" button so I could find a dancer that I could give it to.. That's what excited me the most. And I actually already gave it away before I even started this post. I gave it to a girl who was unable to dance with her team at competition, due to a hurt arm. I thought that the fact that she was still there to cheer her team on, and support them, and hug them when the dance was done, made her an awesome dancer! It felt sooo good to give it away, and I saw her wearing it on her sling later that day! :)

Hi I'm Willialeigh-Marie and I got my awesome dancer button form Lily Romero, form Chris Collins Dance Studio. I was so exicited she gave it to me. At DMI I never thought I would have gotton such an honor. If I see her again I want to see her perform. |
